Sunday, November 7, 1999; 12:44 p.m. Azrael's Awards
We got a surprise award in the mail for Azrael from Linda's Country Pugs! I also got my copy of the second fan club Neil Finn live cd in the mail yesterday! It's wonderful (of course!) Otherwise it's kind of slow around here.

Wednesday, November 3, 1999; 12:13 p.m.
We had a great Buffyfest last night. Great, funny episodes of Buffy and Angel, great company and food, too!
Az spent a long time at the vet yesterday getting a followup urinalysis. If it comes back well, she may not need to go back until after the holidays!

Look at our little plant grow! Isn't it cool??
Did you see Ally McBeal tonight?? Uh-huh, I know you did. We still aren't quite sure why it's so cool and ok (if sensational) if two women kiss but gross if we even think about two guys doing it....although Fish's explanation was at least interesting.

Saturday, October 30, 1999; 02:11 p.m. Crystal's Reading List

Send a Spirit Flower!
Saturday, October 30, 1999; 02:05 p.m. John Taylor Gatto
I just finished reading Gatto's book, Dumbing Us Down: The Hidden Curriculum of Compulsory Schooling and was so moved by his writing that I wanted to read more. The above site has links to many of Gatto's writings that are available on the web. Gatto is a multiple winner of New York State Teacher of The Year Award whose observations about our educational system moved him to get out of the system and work towards true reform.
